Event Details

The beautiful Brooklyn Arts Center at St. Andrews is excited to announce the Brooklyn Arts Center Wedding Showcase on Sunday, August 7, 2011, from noon to 4 p.m., at 520 North 4th Street—the corner of Campbell and North 4th streets—in Historic Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina.

Richard Leder, executive director of BAC, says, “Our stunning, historic venue, one of the region’s most magnificent and romantic locations in which to host a wedding ceremony and reception, is the perfect place for brides to meet the area’s top vendors up close and see them at their creative best. We’ve planned an incredible, unique, and entertaining afternoon of wedding fun and information. Expect the unexpected and be ready to have a blast, because that’s the way we do it in Brooklyn.”

The first 50 brides to purchase a ticket receive a swag bag with local goodies and a chance to win a Romantic Wilmington Weekend Getaway. Cash bar, live music, wedding photo shoots, food, fashion, and all the latest trends and styles.

We will also be showcasing bridal styles from Fountaine Bridals as well as bridesmaid dresses in the Manse next door to the main Brooklyn Arts Center building.

This majestic, 122-year-old church is Wilmington’s finest example of the urban, neomedieval auditorium churches constructed across the country by long-standing evangelical Christian denominations in the last decades of the 19th century.  These buildings were typically erected in neighborhoods that were expanding outside of historic city centers. As an important component of Wilmington’s urban fabric, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church contributed to the character of one of the Port City’s most important historic neighborhoods - the Brooklyn District.
